Doctor, How's My Ankle?

I woke up this morning,
with my ankle still aching.
So I pulled myself to work,
and reporting sick I was stating.
Took the transport to MMI,
waited until the sun was high.
The doctor recommended an X-Ray scan;
Was it really that serious? Oh my!
Lucky for me it was just a sprain,
else I would have tumbled into the drain.
They gave me a rub on - it really hurts,
but you know the saying - no pain no gain.
A 30-day lower limb excuse was given free,
with totally no recovery guarantee.
But I trust the doctor's prescription,
So I think I'll just rub and wait and see.
