Seated comfortably you are;
enjoying the air you breathe.
Somebody sits beside you
and along comes a breeze.
It’s time for you to inhale -
a deep breath you take.
Instantly you turn pale -
I know you didn’t fake.
You’re neither in the sewers,
nor at the zoo.
The stench is so foul;
it reminds you of the loo.
You try to face away
but it seems so futile.
Diffusion is such a dismay;
even if it takes awhile.
Surrendering to the odour,
you get up.
Standing beside a neighbour,
you just look up.
A hairy pit you see;
soon you start to choke.
You’re desperate to flee,
from the stinking bloke.
You might wonder
how others can endure,
Maybe they never breathe;
it’s very obscure.
