Stagnant Progress...
The more we spend,
The richer we get.
We get even richer,
If we sink into a debt.
When the money we earn,
Is used to pay for more stuff,
Our sales figures blossom,
Without the need to bluff.
Our land becomes attractive,
And investors start to bloom.
They create many more jobs,
But each other they consume.
Companies begin to merge,
And retrenchments will rise.
But those that remains,
Will receive more rice.
The retrenched need not worry,
For more jobs will be made.
If they lower their expectation,
They can still afford a maid.
Meanwhile, the dudes up there,
Invested in wrong places.
They chalked up heavy losses,
And need to cover their traces.
Money is needed quickly,
But we are choosy and stingy.
We take our time to pick a job,
And spend really slowly.
So they pulled in foreign talents,
To fill up the gaps,
And raised all the taxes,
So that our market won't collaspe.
They withheld retirement funds,
To invest even more,
While raising their own income,
And ignoring beggars on the floor.
But to be fair as we compare,
Our salaries also increased.
Even though it is not much,
At least it didn't decrease.
Because of our forced spending,
We indeed got richer.
But looking at the inflation rate,
I can't help but wonder.
If our earnings increase,
With the cost of living,
Then is this so-called progress,
Worth the sacrificing?
The richer we get.

If we sink into a debt.

The Junction...
At every traffic junction,
The red men stand proud.
They know that their presence,
Stop the movement of any crowd.
The pedestrians will wait,
Like what they have always done.
They’ll not question their faith,
For the green men appear like the sun.
If the green men stopped appearing,
The pedestrians will make a fuss.
But in no time they’ll pull together,
And say “the men have a plan for us”.
When reason is applied to this rule,
It apparently becomes not so cool.
Recall what you learnt from school;
Is everything you learnt true?
Decide for yourself when to cross,
And not leave it to others to tell you.
Your life is yours so own it well,
Otherwise the waiting can continue.

Come On...
Your sibling ate your food,
So your mood is not so good.
But what is gone is gone,
So come on and just move on.
Then the phone that you own,
Stopped giving you the tone.
But you get peace for a while,
So come on and smile.
Then your friend stole your plan,
And sold them in Japan.
But ideas come and go,
So come on and let it flow.
Then the person that you like,
Became someone else's bride.
But there're others still around,
So come on and reverse that frown.
Then the school that you go to,
Got infested by kangaroo.
But you know that it's untrue,
So come on don't throw your shoe.
Then the country that you stay in,
Started rioting from within.
But you managed to stay alive,
So come on and give me five.
Then you woke up in the night,
With your food on your right.
Please don't hang me by the beam,
Come on it's only a lame dream.
So your mood is not so good.
But what is gone is gone,
So come on and just move on.

Survival...
In any school,
In any course,
There exist,
This dreaded force.
Students are stressed,
To their limits,
Just because,
Of those merits.
Education,
Is not like this.
Survival,
Is what it is.
We compete hard,
And sacrificed,
For others,
To do likewise.
Many didn't score;
For some, they did.
Those that did,
They're tasked to lead.
They took the vow,
And made a bow,
But forget how,
They got to now.
Those left behind,
Looked in disgust,
While their leaders,
Destroyed their trust.
Taxes were raised;
Homes were sold.
The profits,
Remains unknown.
The rich, richer;
The poor stay poor.
Education,
Is not a cure.
This cycle starts,
All over again,
But our nation,
Will not sustain.

Do You Want To See...
A tree was just a seed,
Growing in soil and excrete.
Against threats like the weed,
The tree never concedes defeat.
It keeps growing and doesn't falter,
For if it does its life is over.
Its roots dig deep to suck water,
And spread its branches to stay sober.
But all these efforts will be futile,
When the bulldozer comes to fell it down.
The bystanders can all shout foul,
But what changes even if they protest around?
We are very much like a tree,
Competing aggresively and mindlessly.
But in the end all that we will see,
Is just a bulldozer crashing into thee.
Growing in soil and excrete.

Say Say Say...
If you don't say,
I wouldn't know.
But if I asked too much,
You say I'm kaypoh.
Why don't you want to confide?
Doesn't being kaypoh show that we care?
Why do you keep everything inside?
Do you have an Intel sticker stuck somewhere?
Tell someone your problems,
And you will die.
If that was true,
We can start saying say bye bye.
Nothing bad will happen to you,
If that someone is an empathetic friend.
But if you get even more upset,
Put your "friend" in your next juice blend.
If you can't give good advice,
Trying will just make things worse.
Stay away and refer a someone else,
Whom you can trust and ain't perverse.
If you give bad advice and still wanna stick around,
Next time when you're in trouble you'll weep a few buckets full.
NeWater won't pay you more for your tears,
So save your effort and don't be a fool.
If you think nobody will understand,
Wait for your problems explode, then everyone will.
If you're still sane and alive then,
You might wanna do it again for the thrill.
If I don't say this,
You might not know.
But if you asked too much,
I won't say you're kaypoh.

Change...
When the sun rises to mark another day,
The moon responds by hiding away.
But no matter how strongly the sun shines,
The moon still exists behind the cloudy blinds.
So what is there and what is not,
If what we don't see doesn't mean it's an empty spot?
Are we distracted by the light,
That we ignore darkness until it's night?
Do we really change the way we say we do,
Or do we only change the way we view?
Physical changes are the easiest to claim,
But does everything else remain the same?

Colorgenics...
At this time you are really feeling quite exhausted by all the conflict and quarrelling that is going on about you and you are looking for some sort of protection from this state of affairs. Ideally you are seeking a peaceful condition and a tranquil environment in which you can be afforded the chance to relax and recover......
Now there are many things in life that you require as essential to your well-being but, try as you may, something always seems to be getting in your way. A word of advice - 'keep trying' and you may be pleasantly surprised to see just how matters turn out.
The way things are, you feel that you are stuck in a rut and there is not much you can do about it. You feel frustrated and inhibited but if you can find a way to let yourself go, you may find that things aren't quite so bad as perhaps you thought they were. One consolation is that since you are an extremely emotional individual, with the right person you may be able to release some of that frustration and tension with some mutual tender loving care.
Recent disappointment has led you to become truly introverted. You are becoming suspicious of everybody and consequently you now feel that you are unable to trust anybody. Unfortunately it would appear that you are curbing your natural enthusiasm and imaginative nature - perhaps this is because you are fearful that you may become over enthused and find that you could possibly be carried away by wishful thinking. You are keeping your distance to see whether attitudes towards you are sincere - but this watchfulness could easily develop into suspicion and distrust.
In the past your trusting attitude has often been misunderstood and so you have needed to protect yourself against your tendency to be abused and taken advantage of. As a consequence you possibly adopt an aloof and critical attitude and you are only willing to let your guard down once sincerity and trustworthiness can be assured.
Define your colours here.
